The night is dark, all is content
All's quiet before the ascent
The waves roll across the skyline
Buds bundled close on the may vine
Slowly the sky brightens in light
Yellow and orange up in flight
Another night that has come and gone
The mountain now lit by the dawn
Soon the children will play and run
In the land of the rising sun
