Soft sobs echo throughout
The large rink, but others carry on without
Notice of the common cries
That mingle with sounds of grumbling and of sighs,
As they fall and fight and shout.
Impossible perfection and desperation to be
Better than those around me,
As I fly and spiral thought the air.
Falling hard, hard on the ice.
Through frustration and through tears,
And despite a thousand fears
Racing through my brain,
I return to the pain,
And soft sobs that no one hears.
Falling hard, hard on the ice.
