The Demise of Light

The sun bleeds
Orange, and
Yellow leaks out of
Its fiery heart.
As my eyes
Absorb these
Strange wavelengths,
My retinas burn.
But I cannot tear
My eyes from
The beauty
Of a dying sun.
Sight is a small
Sacrifice
To see the demise
Of light.
