My Body

You can take me; there are no strings attached
Please just take it all
I'm not falling apart I'm just sewn and patched
I am strong I will not fall
I am strong I will not fall

You can have my heart
Do with it what you want to do
You can hang itup for art
You can tear it up in two
You can tear it up in two

You can have my mind
You can let it gather dust
It's a pretty find
I put it in your trust
I put it in your trust

You can have my ear
Put it to good use
Listen and you will hear
My tongue is sometimes loose
My tongue is sometimes loose

You may keep my tongue
As poisonus as it may be
It is also young
It doesn't suit me
It doesn't suit me

You may have my eye
Let it watch and see
Or close it forever and die
Let it see your beauty
Let it see your beauty

You can have my feet
Even though they are quite new
Or you may let them stray to the street
May they follow you
May they follow you

You can have my hand
Let it do good deed
Let it not belong to man
Help me help those in need
Help me help those in need

My whole body belongs to you
To you and you alone
May it do what you want it to do
Into you I've grown
Into you I've grown

Creative, inspirational poem ! Who is on the throne of your heart? Let it be the one who knows you, who has given you the gift of imagination to inspire others.

Very expressive. It reminds me of the first time I felt called to serve a great maker and attempt to follow in the footsteps of a loving messiah who sacrficed and served human-kind with little or no need for money, power, or violence. A prince who ruled with bare feet, kind words, and unyielding love for us all.

Do not loose faith...it will carry you when least expected.
