Situations and people morph into numbers;
equations wait to be solved as calculations abound.
The comfortable bliss of logic surrounds me;
the process mechanical, the answer eager to be found.

There lies a solution to every problem:
the approach safe, straightforward and
systematic.
The simple click, click, click of calculator buttons
soothes my mind and subdues the frantic.

When everything fits into formula,
life is comfortable, easy, a mere operation.
My spirit circumvents any tricks, twists
or turns;
bombarded only by casual computations.

However, the world sometimes conjures variables
that are elusive, unsolvable, and new.
The mathematician, methodologist, I falter
because emotions cannot be deciphered by the calculator's cue.

I put down my pencil; I throw away
my paper.
My new freedom proudly screams rebirth and revival.
I run through the streets; I touch the
whooshing wind.
Forgotten, far behind me, lies rationality's bible.

This poem is amazing!! But I have a question. What exactly did you mean by "rationality's bible" in the last line?
