We Roll

We roll
Into the melting sun
Splattering
Shallow puddles
Of imagination
In neon rain boots

We roll
The loaded dice
Stumbling behind
Our chalky shadows
Puppets dangling
From tangled strings

We roll
Like prickly boulders
Down mirrored halls
Fireflies in a jar
Our ripped wings
Tremble
