A Loneliness

So connected are we now,
Ne'er out of touch this day.
I must just question how
And why I feel this way.

So alone it seems to me.
This this feeling's out of bounds,
I'm lost in this human sea.
So many do surround.

I'm lost do you see?
All these tears are just to flee.
No one sees this searing pain,
My very cheeks are stained again.

But, wait, What is this?
A simple act of kindness
That many often overlook,
Just not knowing what it took.

Never knowing what it means,
Not knowing the smile that it brings.
I'd be happy to come along.
I'd even try a joyous song.
