i slowly proceed toward you
my eyes flicker to the floor
i am so nervous;
i smell myself
just to make sure
i am pleasant
in all ways;
my eyes flicker to your face
just to make sure you're not looking-
i see that you are:
why are you looking?
Do you actually notice me?
Nervous
my eyes flicker to the floor once again-
i wish i could stop doing that.
My heart beats so
fast
i feel like i am about to explode-
i am so nervous.
I am
_
_
_
_
_
five feet from you
and i regain the
courage to look
at your face-
once again you are staring at me.
I cannot
stop looking at your eyes-
then i see something i
have not seen you do before-
your eyes flicker to the floor too:
are you nervous?
is that possible?
I
somehow manage to say
hello
though my voice is barely
audible-
you smile at me.
YOU SMILE AT ME.
IS THAT POSSIBLE?
my eyes flicker to the floor
your beauty is too radiant
for my eyes-
and to my surprise
you
catch my falling face
and force me
to look
at you-
and we kiss...
WE KISS...!
when we are done
my eyes flicker to the floor
again
because i feel like
i have just broken
a
law of gravity-
so gravity pushes me back
to where i belong
and my eyes
flicker back to the floor-
again.
