Dance
The music speaks to me in a language in which only I understand, the music notes begin to surround me as I sway back and forth to the tune. I feel as light as air, like nothing can harm me. I feel the beat of the beat of the drum in my belly; I can’t help but to stand and begin to dance. I feel light on my feet as I dance around the room. I yell, holler, and shout the lyrics of the song, and cry tears of joy. The crash of the cymbals ignite a flame inside me, I feel free like a bird spreading its wings for the first time. Nothing can stop me, I’m dancing to an endless song, that only I understand only I know its secret message it whispers to me under the beat, and only I hear it.
