"Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore."

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. "
~ Jack Kerouac

To my dearly beloved father
May the Lord rest your soul
From my mind and heart, your daughter
Your only forgotten toll

You left this world not knowing what you did wrong
But you also left this world not knowing our last song
There's is a whole in my heart as big as two seas collide
Where all of my memories missing of us not standing side by side

I missed your smile when I've had a bad day
Or walks, arm in arm, down the North Carolina Bay
I have your eyes and your hair
But when it came to me, it was just always unfair

I missed not telling you my dreams
And even missed you pushing me on the playground swing
When I got the news that you were gone
I cried until the awakening of dawn

Even though through my heart I cherish the memory we had
I'll always remember, in that memory, I called you my dad
I hope your watching me grow old
While walking on streets of silver and gold

To my dearly beloved father
May the Lord rest your soul
From my mind and heart, your daughter
Your only forgotten toll

I know he's watching me from the Heavens above. The appearance of a rainbow is not only to tell us that the earth will never again be flooded, but to tell us there is a angels that look down on us from above.
