Goodbye

Tick,Tock
The world chimes it casualty hour
Stop me,tell me it's okay
I'll meet them soon

I miss you
Even though you never left
I never met you
I never talked to you
But I've heard you

Whispers speak out loud
Do you really miss us?
Won't forget the memories
That we shared
With everyone in the world

I miss you
Even though you never left
I never met you
I never talked to you
But I've heard you

You knocked on my door and stayed inside
Never leaving my side
As much as you try you never hide
Because you never said goodbye

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem after the lead guitarist from Hawthorne Heights passed away. This tragedy inspired me to write it as if it were a message from musicians who passed on unexpectedly.I think the readers will get the feeling that most people feel when someone they idol passes on and never had the chance to say goodbye.
