I told you

I tell you ‘I love you’
I knew what I’d start

I tell you ‘I love you’
I lent you my heart

I tell you ‘I love you’
And I meant what I said

I tell you ‘I love you’
I knew not where it led

I tell you ‘I love you’
But you still wanted to die

I tell you ‘I love you’
As I sit and cry

I tell you ‘I love you’
I can see past the screen

I tell you ‘I love you’
And I just want to scream

I tell you ‘I love you’
As your brother told me

I tell you ‘I love you’
What part can’t you see?

I tell you ‘I love you’
As you lie there in pain

I tell you ‘I love you’
This is not not a game

I tell you ‘I love you’
I will never let you go

I tell you ‘I love you’
I just hope it will show

This is inspired by my best friend. All I say in this poem is true. This is the first poem open to the public.
