Dancing Like Writing
“Often I said I write
Because I can’t dance.
But writing is like dancing.
Your pen moves across your page in those swift motions,
Creating a whole page of your talented dance moves.
Like a dancer waving a ribbon in the air,
You sway your pen’s ink into those exotic shapes,
But yet, exquisite images are made.
People admire your grace
And yearn for more.
They can’t take their eyes off your dance.
Everyone applauds for more,
But in fact your story has ended.
Often I said I write
Because I can’t dance.
But writing is like dancing.
