Cut into the Beast
with precision and skill
Clean the pelt
Make it softer than silk

With precision and skill
Lay the skin on a form
Make it softer than silk
Like it was before

Lay the skin on a form
As if it was still alive
Like it was before
Running outside

As if it was still alive
It struck a pose
Running outside
With wind in it's fur

It struck a
Leaping into the air
With wind in it's fur
Although it was dead

Leaping into the air
Attached to wires and rods
Although it was dead
It looked so alive

Attached to wires and rods
The animal stands proud
It looks so alive
With hidden stitches and seams

The animal stand proud
Beaming with life after death
With hidden stitches and seams
Taxidermy means, moving flesh
