An ode to the puppy Scotty
Oh, why art thou so naughty?
Is this a shoe?
I gave you a something else to chew

And where do you go potty?
This rug was never so spotty
Oh, shoo
When you must got to the loo

Don’t look so haughty
You think me dotty?
These socks were new!
I’ll send you to a zoo

But I guess I love you, Scotty
Even though you are so naughty
Even when you make me blue
And are more work than a crew

The author's comments:
After writing this poem I realized that it was rather ironic seeing how this rhymed quatrain is very orderly and the object of the poem, my dog Scotty, is not.

Do you wish to be great? Then begin by being. Do you desire to construct a vast and lofty fabric? Think first about the foundations of humility. The higher your structure is to be, the deeper must be its foundation.
Saint Augustine

Aw! This is very sweet! :)
