My Older Brothers

Someone at school pushed me down
My brothers helped me up
The oldest one taught the kid a lesson

Algebra twisted and turned in my head
My brothers untied the knot
The middle one helped me out and I got an A

I was lonely and had no friends
My brothers were my BFFs
The youngest played and talked with me for hours on end

The oldest is married and gone
He has no time to fight my bullies anymore
But he still loves me

The middle one has gone to college
He has his own math problems to solve
But he still loves me

The youngest one has gone on a mission
He can’t come and play with me
But he loves me

My brothers are all grown and gone
I am the only kid at home
But when they come home they give me a hug

Because I am their little sister
