According to Plan
A little old man and his wife, look out their window late at night.
And look up at the stars and their bright, shining light.
The man says to his wife, “I just don’t understand,
Why those bright shining stars, float above land.
Light years away, are these big balls of gas
Yet their light shows, through my window’s glass.”
“Oh pish posh!” the little old man’s wife shouts.
“Those stars are our ancestors lurking about.
Watching over us always and holding our hands.
Because you and I both know, life doesn’t always go according to plan.
A little boy says to his Grandpa one day,
“Grandpa, guess what I learned in school today!
Those pretty bright lights, way up high,
They’re really big balls of gas floating in the sky.”
“Oh pish posh!” the little old man shouts.
“Those stars are our ancestors lurking about.”
“Is that where Grandma is, in the stars way up high,
Watching and helping as life passes by?”
“Yes son, she looks down at us with nothing but love in her heart,
Because even death, cannot tear us apart.
As our lives go on, in the stars she stands,
Watching over us always and holding our hands.
Because son, life doesn’t always go according to plan..
