- What Matters
I gave it to you wrapped in silk,
The gift had truth , purity and love in it.
But, then came the day, and you were gone
And now all I do is listen your song.
Whole day in your memories I cried,
To get over it is what I tried.
But all were in vain
And since I’ve achieved only pain.
I looked at all the places but you were no where in sight,
I fought with all the sorrows with might.
My friends told me to be brave,
But my tears kept falling on your grave.
People had got over the fact that you were no more,
And soon started considering me a bore.
Remembrance is on what I now depend,
And the damage is now impossible to mend.
Now that you are in the hands of your creator,
And I have some responsibilities since I am a daughter.
I am filling up the gap,
So that later we can be together in the last lap…
