“Past to Present Love”

In kindergarten,
Our love whispered in the wind
Not even a thought
Rarely did I see you then
Passing in the fresh spring air
Budding like a rose
Our friendship gaining colors
Dull to bright we changed
Not knowing later in life
We would pick each other up
The way we began
Like a seed about to bloom
Flowering in love
Now we stand tall together
Growing up into the sky
