Because I am a masterful coward,
I have learned to avoid my reflection
Just for your suspect approval incurred.

My own urgencies I’ve nicely deferred
And I’ve put off living for affection
Because I am a masterful coward.

I’ve hopped in your footprints, most undeterred,
As I followed justly your direction,
All for your suspect approval incurred.

My own body you have nearly interred
And gruesome is my very complexion
Because I was a masterful coward.

Now I recognize The Game of Absurd -
I care not for your sticker inspection;
I needn’t your suspect approval incurred.

Finally the whisper of reason I’ve heard.
I can think, I can breathe, I don’t need your correction
Because I’m not a masterful coward.
I don’t want your suspect approval incurred.
