Olympic dream

I am Nora, a used to be gymnast.
I wonder where I would be in the sport.
I hear the crowd cheering me on at the 2016 Olympics.
I see a four foot high four inches wide piece of wood standing between me and all around gold.
I want more than anything to go back to gymnastics
I am Nora, a used to be gymnast.

I pretend to do the routines I would have wanted to do.
I feel upset that I am no longer able to do the one thing I love.
I touch the bars hoping I can land everything perfectly.
I worry that I will not be able to peruse my dream.
I cry know that my chances are very slim to be able to go back to gymnastics.
I am Nora, a used to be gymnast

I understand that not everything turns out the way you plan.
I say, “There will be something else that I will learn to love as much as gymnastics.”
I dream about making all around gold in the 2016 Olympics.
I hope that I will be able to go back to gymnastics.
I am Nora, a used to be gymnastics.

this poem is about the dream i once had to make the 2016 gymnastics olympics which was very well on its way, but in the journey to try and attempt this wonderful dream i had a knee injury and was no longer able to accomplish it.
