When I grow up-
I want to find the kind of love
that my friends will be jealous of.
Not that generic brand,
store-bought love.
The good stuff,
like designer jeans.
The rare stuff,
like a precious gem.
You know the kind of bling
you find on a ring?
By the way-
I want a ring.
I don’t want any of that
“Let’s sleep together,
then forget each other’s names,” love.
None of that
“He played me
and made me part of his games,” love.
I want a true love.
Not a
beaten,
and
broken,
and
blue
love.
I don’t just want infatuation.
I want
passion,
loyalty,
affection,
adoration.
I want the kind of love
that will be passed
d

n
for generations.
To our children and grandchildren.
I want our kids
to know how much
they are loved,
even before their birth.
Love come down from above,
like heaven
here on Earth.
Every time I see ya
I hear angels singing
“Hallelujah!”
-But I don’t just want to
hear love.
I want to see love.
like a cinema in 3D love.
kickin’ back in my E-Z chair,
watchin my favorite flick with you.
I want an easy love,
as simple as hand-in-glove.
Not a complicated love, like
x=y+3^4-8,927×?31
“Uh, can you repeat that?”
Look, if we’re gonna do math equation love
how about something I can understand-
like 1+1=2.
I think I just got an A+ on me and you.
A+?
Sweet!
I want a sweet love.
I’ll never forget the day we’ve yet to meet, love.
I imagine it’ll go something like this:
“Hi, my name’s Analisia.
I know you don’t know me…
But I know you’re the one
I’ve been waiting for
my whole life.”
I want to find the kind of love
