Love fades like broken glass washed up on the beach
Even though his hands allowed you to reach
The possibilities of living and being free
Why did it have to end with just little ole’ me?
His presence lingers and you feel the tightness in your heart
Almost like when your life crashed down like buildings from the start
You’re a silly one can’t you see?
We just weren’t meant to be.
