Caught in the Swell

Don’t watch the world swim by
Jump, fly – into the falling sky

Just your luck, it thundered and rained
Swept away, nothing risked, nothing gained

Would you leap again, if you had the chance?
To tumble through time, to get lost in the dance

Of the sun and the sea and the turning Earth
Well now’s your chance, now’s your rebirth.

So let go of my hand, you’ll be safe enough now
To spiral and flutter and take your last bow,

But be glorious in your last show up above,
Like a star slowly dying, light made of our love.
