"I beg of you, Lady Uncertainty, be kind to me."

Snowy ridges in the Rockies,
Olive groves in Italy,
Black Beaches in Hawaii,
The world I want to see.

I want to be free to roam
Wherever I do choose.
I want to see what’s out there.
What do I have to lose?

My soul longs to travel.
From sea to shining sea
And beyond that I do not know
What else I want to be.

Expectations put upon me
To be the best that I can be
All my heart does long for
Is to travel and be FREE.

There is too much out there.
I feel I’m missing out.
Why do I have to be stuck here?
So trapped and full of doubt.

If today, I did wish to travel
To somewhere overseas.
I would not get this wish I want.
Because I am not free.

Not free to travel where I want.
Not even for a day.
I wish I could with all my might
But at home I have to stay.

But, oh my heart does long for
That day that I will be
Free as an eagle
And the world I will then see.
