Moonlight
The night sky shines down on your face,
I feel like such a big disgrace,
Moving away from you, after all I’ve done to find you.
Your eyes, the signs of betrayal and lies are clear,
In my heart I wonder, why am I consumed by this fear?
Dreams, they were so long ago,
And now I think I know,
You were the only one
I really needed, and now you are gone.
Disappeared from my life,
Disappeared from the moonlight.
And now,
I’m on my own and
I stand alone,
Full of fear and all the regret that I own.
Now, the night sky shines down on your face,
I feel like such a big disgrace,
Moving away from you, after all I’ve done to find you.
But I’m comforted by the fact that we stare,
Even with its intense glare,
We look up at the same moon,
And all I can say now is,
I’m glad that I’ve met you.
