Loss of a Love One
February 7, 2012
My heart was racing,
My palms were crying,
My mind was running,
as I opened my email account.
The news jumped off the screen,
And scarred my heart forever.
My eyes ran across the email,
Discovering the death of my grandmother.
It was like 1963,
the assassination of JFK,
Changing the nation,
Changing my life.
My brain returned to the past,
Remembering my times with my grandmother,
Making me feel worse,
Than before.
Tears streamed down my face,
Dripping on my soul,
Scarring my life,
The loss of a love one.
