The Cycle of Poetry

The flower has blossomed.
Its full potential is reached.
So it drops its seed.

The seed lies stagnant for a while.

Then, the roots delve into the dirt.
A green stalk stretches.
It wants to outdo
The plant that laid him.

Leaves unfurl and disperse.
Withered and brown extras
Are instantly cut.
They serve no purpose
And detract from its beauty.

This process repeats,
Until it is almost perfect.
A few premature leaves are snipped.
Finally, multicolored petals unfold.

The flower has blossomed.
Its full potential is reached.
So it drops its seed...
