This lullaby
Swirls inside my head
Notes connect and weave together
Forming beautiful harmonies
And sweet melodies
Conjoining swiftly
Complimenting beautifully
Volume swelling
Tempo getting faster, beat by beat
And then--it stops
Then continues, legato and dulce.
This lullaby is my own
A private symphony
Inside my head
A private concert
Just for me.
