Ode to Monotone
No tone
No voice
No feeling
No life.
Monotone, thank you
Nobody ever knows how I truly
feel.
Numb to the world around me,
Nobody by my side,
Never do I cry
Waiting with a sigh
Monotone, thank you,
You are my favorite tone of voice
No way to tell what I’m thinking.
Feelings left frayed, life
Waisting away.
Sanity lost its house in my mind but the banks not gunna
pay.
Waiting for someone to care
Wanting them to be there
Wanting to say something,
But always end up saying nothing
This is my ode to monotone
Self-expression is what I loath
If I could stay like this,
Oh maybe I might feel bliss.
