Illuminated Fear.

A dusk rolls in, dark and ominous.
Terror crawls up, I’m blinded by this awfulness.
Falling apart, sanity slips away.
Trudging through fear, world melts into a slip of grey.

Small flame flickers, stars breakthrough the sky.
Tauntingly bright, liquid warmth spreads to mute my cry.
Halting the doom, I am still so frail.
Blinding lights shine, resilience smashes the veil.

Lighting my world, here I am complete.
Sweet pulsing joy, snug sitting at the window seat.
Silky luster, I will never stray.
Glossy smile, dark velvety fright torn away.
