Lover's fate

Sitting on the cold bleachers
Watching, listening to the sounds
The clunk of balls to the bats
Laughter filled the mounds

A warm heart is what she needs
A warm heart is what she gets
For her man whom sits beside her
Makes her smile even brighter
With no regrets they stare into one another’s eyes
So deep the love is felt for miles

Then out of nowhere an arm is extended
And the spell is broken
He is in a fight
Next its night

For all eternity
The crowd cheers, all but the girl who fears
She screams for she knows
Her love is in danger of losing his life

Cold, hard hands reach to her and grasp her arms
Holding her back, the boys laugh
Then something happens
Something no one expected
A boy draws his knife
And then it’s injected

The girl feels her heart drain from her body
As all hands are lifted
She falls to the ground
The boy seems so proud
The sirens are ringing
The police are here

All is cleared out; no one is left any where near
She is left sitting alone, with her lost love
And then she feels a sharp pain
And all is over

For she has joined her love in bliss
The boy has given her the same fate
A witness there will not be
So free the lovers will fly
The fight is unfair for it is one against all
The crowd cheers, all but the girl who fears
She screams for she knows
Her love is in danger of losing his life

Cold, hard hands reach to her and grasp her arms
Holding her back, the boys laugh
Then something happens
Something no one expected
A boy draws his knife
And then it’s injected

The girl feels her heart drain from her body
As all hands are lifted
She falls to the ground
The boy seems so proud
The sirens are ringing
The police are here

All is cleared out; no one is left any where near
She is left sitting alone, with her lost love
And then she feels a sharp pain
And all is over

For she has joined her love in bliss
The boy has given her the same fate
A witness there will not be
So free the lovers will fly
For all eternity
