As i sat alone by the water's edge/
Watching the reflection of the glowing full moon/
Thoughts had crept into my head/
Ones of lonliness, sadness, doom/
For how i wished i was not here/
Alone on this starlight night so clear/
But with my friends this summer past/
I would be reunited with at last
