Fallen Ember

April 27, 2008
By Griffin Dellaverson, Pacific Palisades, CA

She is like a fallen ember,
Once hot,
But cooling down,
A fiery spirit gone,
A queen without her crown,
Who could tame this flame of passion?
Burning,
That was her soul,
Who was it that shot the arrow,
That rendered her so cold?
Twas’ a man they say,
Once she loved so dear,
That when he turned,
Away,
From her,
The pain she could not bear.
