The lonely tree

One lonely tree
Stands with only
The moon and the stars
So lonely is this tree
Cries tears of green and brown
Left
Left with no one
Left to rot away
Cold wind breathing
On the tree’s bare arms
Too cold, too naked
To ever stay
But feet are planted
And will forever stay
Long hands extend
But never touch
Oh so lonely is this tree
Bathes in sorrow
Sleeps in hope
Always watching
But never seen
So complex
seems simple
for it is only a lonely tree
