Missing You

We thought of you with love today,

But that's nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday,

And days before that, too.

We think of you in silence,

Often we speak your name.

Now all we have is memories,

And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our blessing,

With which we'll never part.

God has you in his keeping,

But we have you in our hearts.

My grandfather died a very tragic, messy, unexpected death. This poem just tells it like it is-- Thinking about him every day, Speaking often of his name, Holding tight to memories, and on the bookshelf is a picture of him in an old wooden frame.
