Why must a person so close to you
Be leaving you little buy little
When I see this person all I do is cry
She cannot move
Can barely talk
And sometimes does not remember me
Sometimes she is the same person I remember when I was little
And other times
She is a person a can hardly recognize
When I think of her I remember the times when
I would spend the night at her house
Now, when I think of her I think of
The horrible thing that is going to happen when it’s over
This person is someone I truly care about
This person is my grandmother
