The Stork

By
Stork, stork, dazzling white
With your eyes so sparkling, bright,
Where do you always fly
As the willows wave goodbye?

As you lift and disappear
And wee rodents scurry in fear,
During the season of the snow
Where do you always go?

Then in spring
When new life begins,
You return –
As also does the fern.

Stork, stork, dazzling white
With your eyes so sparkling, bright,
Where do you always fly
As the willows wave goodbye?
