For one short moment our eyes did meet
And inflamed in me, a feeling so complete
For the beauty that then did meet my eyes
Surpassed the beauty in all the skies
Her hair rolled like the waves of the sea
And, like a song, she called out to me
Her eyes shone bright like the moon that night
And her smile, like a thief, stole the light
Her voice was a harmony for the whispering air
Like a sweet mist falling into a prayer
Could she, would she, love me of all men?
Or will I never see her again…

In seeing the true beauty of a certain girl, I began to question the nature of love, while indulging in its peacefulness.
