I’m not quite a woman yet ,Nor am I a baby
I’m balancing my way between the two
Trying to understand the meaning of being a young lady
Sometimes I feel like a little girl
I find myself so confused and curious about the world
I don’t get my way and I want to throw a tantrum
Other times I’m understanding and it comes to me like dancing
There’s times where I could just go with the flow
Sometimes I feel like a little girl
I’m around three again
I’m shy and I run away because my mind isn’t in no form to comprehend
The crazy situations being thrown my way
I’m like a little girl losing her blanket
For weeks I’ll roam around lost with out it
Then I found my comfort somewhere in my new teddy bears pocket

There’s time when I want to scream and shout
But will be judged for the words that may fall out my mouth
It’s not lady like to the world
But to me it’s alright because I’m still a little girl
I have the right to get mad and throw a fit
I have a right to want to runaway and hide for a little bit
I have all the power to go under my blanket
To hide from this monster known to me as life
