It was all a lie
I hate that I fell for it
But I couldn't help it
I should have kept hating you
And ignoring you and everyone you knew
But you talked to me
And I had no notion to flee
Just to pretend, to fall right in
I threw a rock at the glass one day
Shattered shards
Shattered shards
Of this illusion everywhere
Now I know better
I walk away
You stay away
Anger, hate
I never knew I could feel this way
I pick up a shard and throw it away
