Outside Looking In
I look on the outside,
Nothing but sun,
Yet on the inside,
Another wars just begun.
Daddy used to smile,
Now he's sipping the bottle,
Mommy's gone,
Now he's going at it full throttle.
When Mommy was here,
She always smoked,
That was her escape,
To hit the dope.
My sister,
Began to cut,
The other one,
Became a slut.
My little brother,
Was so happy,
That smile became a frown,
When we talked about mommy.
As for me,
I'll always be here,
Hard as a stone,
Never shedding a tear.
