Shyness

March 3, 2008
By Rachel Masters, Elk Grove, CA

I stay
In Reproachful Silence
With the Rebuke pointed
My Way

No matter
When or Who- my Words stick
In my Throat and clang around in
Lonely Chatter

My Timidity
Paralyzes and holds Me captive
Like a Prisoner in a Cell, longing
To be Free.

I really like this. It puts into words what I've felt for practically my entire life
