Life is short. Eat dessert first.

I saw a mermaid,
far from the boat,
fluttering her graceful tail.

Not afraid to swing her scaled tail,
she combs her deep auburn hair just like a mermaid,
singing a pure melody far from the boat.

But now her mystical gray eyes notice the boat.
She dives deep, swishing her glossy tail,
but stops just for a second to plead with her eye of the mermaid,

and I only speak of the secret mermaid and her glimmering tail on the sail boat.

This poem is a Tritina that captures the mermaids mysteriousness.
