The Forgotten One

It seems every day
is dragging on
and it seems
everything she does is wrong
Will she ever find an escape
From this world of fate
Will she ever find a home
With a family that will
Accept her for herself
She is so lost
And so cold
And is miles away from
Finding the right home
She feels unaccepted
And feels like she’s worth nothing
All the kids at school
Beat her until she’s blue
The teachers wonder
But they never ask
No one will help her
She’s slowly fading away
Each and everyday
Weeks have passed
And she now lays
Six feet underground
And no one seems to care
She is a lost cause
A lost soul
The one the world has lost
And She was and remains
The Forgotten One
But she is happy
Because she is
right where she belongs
in heaven
where they love everyone
and nothing could go wrong

When I wrote this poem I was thinking about all the lost ones in the world that nobody ever loved.
