The Other Side of Her Heart

February 19, 2008
By Adrienne Aragon, Englewood, CO

Nobody heard the cries from her heart,
Nobody noticed her pain
Outside she was calm,
Yet inside she was screaming

The people may say
“Everything she ever wants,
Is sitting on her lap”
But no, they’re wrong.

There’s something missing
She’s got it all,
The beauty,
The grace,
“But why can’t they understand?
They have everything they need,
And I don’t think they see,
I haven’t got a thing.”

I love this. YOu make the reader question themselves to a point where it seems like we are all realy empty. :) love it!
