The Smell

The smell of a father,
Its can make you want to puke,
But at the same time,
You want to hug it close to you.
And try to remember before.
Try to remember the good times.
The man you called Daddy.

The smell of a father,
Is hard to bear when you keep in mind,
When the family was cracked like an egg,
With three fourths together but in pain,
The last fourth gone and the absence is blinding.
Try to remember the good times.
The man you called Daddy.

The smell of a father,
Is what I miss most and breaks me down,
When you hug me as you try to weasel yourself,
Into my newly adapted life.
Even though you ran away like a dog,
Frightened by the wind.
