Favorite Quote:
Look, what envious streaks do lace the severing clouds in younder east! Night's candles are burnt out, and jocund day stands tip-toe on the misty mountain-tops.
-Shakespeare

You tore me away from all I know
You gave me nothing but frustration
My heart aches for drenching love
But all it gets is combustion
I’m supposed to throw my life away
All reassurance and memories
I’m expected to let you take over
But all you’ve done is estrange me
For as far as my eyes can wander
I see only years of allomorphism
No words can allay my fear of
Wanting to yell, but having no one to listen
Don’t try to change me, don’t mold my mind
I’m alright with finding myself
But be there to support my decisions
Because sometimes I just need help
I’m trying to make myself see
That you don’t want to cause me pain
But it’s because of you that I’m here
Giving all I have to remain sane
Sometimes I need you to hold me close,
Others I require seclusion
Don’t be offended, I’m just sorting out
Emotions that give my heart lacerations
I might say that I trust you tonight
Or it could be a year until I can
Please, just be patient, I’ll let you know
When I can say, “I love you too, Mom and Dad.”
