Find the apothem, what is the surface area?
The search is on, my pen a desperate hunter

Formulas refuse to cooperate

Find the apothem, what is the surface area?

The room strips all camouflage, forcing me to solve the unsolvable
Formulas refuse to cooperate.

Perhaps the clock has the answers

45 minutes turn to 30 and the numbers have sprinted, far away from comprehension

I’m sure the apothem could be 3.4928977896 sometimes

My calculator is giving an error message

Where did all the hours of studying go?

My chicken scratch expands its territory across the page, giving me false hope

Did he go over this during class?

My father told me to pick my battles

“You won’t win everything, Emily.”

My father told me to pick my battles

Others are finishing, relieved after a long struggle with their perfect whole numbers
“You won’t win everything, Emily.”

As my pen lowers, my white flag raises.
