I am from college football
From the sound of cheering
To the sound of booing.
From the sound of pads cracking together
To the sound of bones popping.

I am from fresh cut baseball fields
To fresh cut football fields.
From the mitt popping
To the helmet-to-helmet collision.

I am from the sound of nerf guns
And the sound of doors slamming.
From the tears of friends
To the cheers of friends.

I am from chairs squeaking
To alarms beeping.
From fences creaking
And doors ringing.

I am from old fashion home cooking
To ethnic Lebanese meals.
From family traditions
To holiday get togethers.

I am from family
From places I will always love
And from people I will always remember.
